The night starts with a full acoustic CCL set and ends with a full on electric hullabaloo that fully embraces the advent of electricity. After the acoustic set and a short intermission, the band hands off rhythm duties to drummer Zeke Hutchins and electric bass player Jay Brown as well as adding multi-instrumentalist Johnny Irion. With these additions, the four members of Chatham County Line get to add a few more colors to their sonic palette. Acoustic bass player Greg Readling moonlights on pedal steel and piano, Dave and John get to scratch their electric guitar itch, and banjo maestro Chandler Holt might even sing a song or two. In this guise, the band puts new energy behind some of their most requested songs as well as dusting off a few AM classics. A holiday treat indeed!
