Career Speed Networking at Olympic High School
Today's youth need to become aware and explore careers and local industry sectors offering opportunity. Gen Z Teens need to know and understand what type of education and skills are meaningful in a 21st century economy so they make better decisions than past Americans. At this event, practitioners from companies will spend 10 minutes with 2-5 students and tell them about their : 1) occupation; 2) employer; 3) industry sector; 4) high demand careers; 5) high demand skills; 6) education; degrees, licenses, and certificates that matter in the workplace. Then another group of teens will visit their table each 10 minutes. 50% of Millennials with a college degree are unemployed or underemployed today when over 7M jobs remain unfilled due to a knowledge & skills gap.
