ABOUT THE ARTIST CATHY VAUGHAN


Artist Cathy Vaughan is returning to New Window Gallery at Play it Again Records to display her paintings for the entire month of January. Some of the works in the show will be art you have seen there before while others you may have seen displayed at Valdese post office as well as some brand new works not shown before.

While most is acrylic paintings there is new experimentation in pencil. Some of the old favorites are missing this time as they have found new permanent homes. Cathy loves variety and might be painting an abstract concept one day and a nature scene the next or both simultaneously. This showing also includes my rendition of characters you may know from television such as Master Yoshi from Dragonball and Jeremy from that Beatles classic animated movie The Yellow Submarine along with the Beatles themselves.


New Window Gallery is located at 150 W Main St. Valdese NC.

It is part of the Play It Again Records Building.

The two large gallery windows are lit 24 hrs. a day and can be seen from the curb!

The gallery is looking for more interesting artists to participate in future events!
